the appropriate courtesy resolutions for the Convention and present them to the delegates for consideration at the final session of the Convention.

 

SECTION 4.  No one Lion serving as a member on any one committee may have more than one vote on such committee, regardless of the number of qualifying positions said Lion may hold on such committee.

 

ARTICLE IV-STANDING COMMITTEES AND FUNDS

 

SECTION 1. (a) The Council of Governors shall appoint the following committees, each consisting of one member from each District, to serve for one-year terms, except as provided in Subsection (d) (1), (d) (2) and (d) (3):  Awards Committee, Budget Committee, Constitution and By-Laws Committee, Cultural and Community Activities Committee, Diabetes Awareness Committee, Extension Committee, Hearing & Speech Action and Work with the Deaf Committee, Information Technology Committee, International Convention Committee, International Relations Committee, Leader Dog Committee, Leadership Development Committee, Leo Clubs Committee, Lioness Clubs Committee, Lions Clubs International Foundation Committee, Lions Information/Public Relations Committee, Lions Opportunities for Youth Committee, Long-Range Planning Committee, Membership Committee, Retention Committee, Safety Committee, SightFirst Committee, Special Needs Equipment Committee, Virginia Lions’ Bland Memorial Music Scholarship Committee, White Cane Project Committee, Youth Exchange Committee and Youth Outreach Committee.

           (b)  The International Convention Committee, with the approval of the Council of Governors, shall be authorized to request a Virginia headquarters hotel and to sign a contract arranging for transportation to the convention at any time up to two years prior to the date the convention is to be held.

           (c) The Council of Governors may, at their discretion, have the authority to authorize reimbursement of transportation expenses for one member of the International Convention Committee to make a trip to the city in which the next International Convention will be held, to make advance arrangements for the Virginia delegation.
